Matthew 5:9 Fellowship: Masks and Polarization
June 8 @ 3:30 pm—4:30 pm EDT
If your congregation is anything like mine, you may be wondering the best way to approach topics like the pandemic, masking, and vaccines with them. Our country is so polarized, and when everything is political, larger issues (like safety during a pandemic) can make us even more divided.
We are hosting a brief virtual event to discuss this issue in fellowship with other pastors on Tuesday, June 8th, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST. Our friend, Samantha Owens from Over Zero, will share a brief presentation on how masks became so divisive and how pastors can approach this topic in such an emotionally charged environment.
There will be plenty of time to connect with the other pastors in the Matthew 5:9 Fellowship, learn from each other, and receive support. You are welcome to invite as many clergy or religious leaders in your network as you choose. Registration is limited, but we will make all efforts to accommodate as many leaders as possible.
